The only addition I would make is to add fabric softener to the tank. It helps loosen the solidified mess.

laundry detergent and fabric softener works wonders. Be sure you do not have a clogged vent line too.

I guess i should have mentioned: The aft head is a VacuFlush system.  When the Vacu Flush system flushes, some of the "effluent" flushes out the vent on to the sugar scoop.
